Voices from our industrial past

Another of the autobiographies in one of our Special Collections, the Burnett Archive, will feature in a BBC Radio 4 programme to be broadcast on Wednesday 30th April 2014 at 11am.

Voices from our industrial past will look at the lives of ordinary people during the Industrial Revolution. Our Lovekin autobiography is one of the accounts featured. Emanuel Lovekin worked in the mining industry during the nineteenth century, and started to write his memoirs in 1895.
